Our Association was federally chartered as Eastern Idaho PCA on January 6, 1934 as one of the first Production Credit Associations authorized by changes to the Farm Credit Act in 1933.
In 1991, we became Eastern Idaho Agricultural Credit Association so we could make both production (PCA) and real estate loans (FLCA).
In January 2000, we rang in the new millennium with our new name — Idaho Agricultural Credit Association, which more accurately reflected our lending area. On July 1, 2002, our wholly owned subsidiaries Idaho AgCredit, PCA and Idaho AgCredit, FLCA were formed to better serve our members. Effective January 1, 2015 our name changed to Idaho AgCredit, ACA to match the format of our subsidiaries. Although our name has changed, our staff, management and member/ownership have remained the same, free of any “corporate takeover/merger.”
Idaho AgCredit’s board of directors is comprised of six farmers and/or ranchers who borrow and one required non-borrower. They listen to you, and know that any changes they make will affect them too. You have an active voice in how your lender is managed through these member/directors, annual stockholder meetings and direct contact with senior management.
Lending to Idaho and Wyoming farmers and ranchers, in good times and bad, since 1934.
At Idaho AgCredit we are proud sponsors of many agricultural and community activities, including 4-H and FFA programs, the Idaho Ag Hall of Fame, Leadership Idaho Agriculture, local food distributors, agribusiness management seminars and chambers of commerce.
